Our sponsorship programme is based on the average cost of keeping a child in school at Fuiloro for 12 years of schooling. We ask our sponsors to give $100 per year - or multiples of the same - for as long as they can commit.

This amount is tax deductible as we are partners with the Salesian Missions in Melbourne.

The Principals of each school section allocate sponsorship to students who are most in need. The students sponsored may change from year to year depending on changing family circumstances.

SPONSORING UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

$800 per annum

Sponsored students are either studying agriculture or education/teaching.

The money is paid as a monthly allowance and managed by an Australian working in the Ministry of Agriculture in Dili. It covers fees and a living allowance.

Contact is maintained with students through our annual visit and through email and sms.

SPONSORING VOCATIONAL STUDENTS

$300 per annum

At Don Bosco Fuiloro there is  vocational school for girls offers courses in office/administration course, or a tailoring.

Girls board at the school, and they are assisted in looking for work in at the end of the course.

These sponsorships are one year only and there is potential for making contact with the student.
