ABOUT US

We are a community organisation based in Denmark West Australia who have been  supporting children in education at Don Bosco Fuiloro, a catholic school in Lautem East Timor since 2002.  Our sponsors also support a number of young people in post secondary and tertiary education.

We have forged a link between the WA College of Agriculture Denmark and the Agricultural School at Fuiloro. We have personal links with the personnel of the school, its students and the community it serves. We make regular visits to the school and to the students sponsored in Dili.

CONNECTIONS BETWEEN DENMARK AND FUILORO have been supported by visits from teachers and students from Fuiloro in 2002, 2004, by a return visit from Denmark Agricultural students and a teacher who visited East Timor in 2005 and by annual visits to Fuiloro by people from our organisation.

OUR SUPPORT GROUP

Over the last six years we have gathered a large number of local people who support our organisation through direct sponsorship or by attending our fundraising events. We have over a hundred on-going sponsors.

SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM

Primary School : Since 2002 we have been paying the fees of children in the Fuiloro district who can't afford to pay.

Junior Secondary School: Since 2002 we have sponsored local students who can't afford to pay.

Senior Secondary Agricultural School: Students board at this college from all over East Timor - again we pay the fees of students who have promise, but can't afford the boarding and tuition fees.

University Students: Graduates from Fuiloro often want to go on to university in Dili. We have individual sponsors who pay the fees for six university students.
